This movie is wonderfully entertaining with characters who you can relate to. It is very sad how Barney can't get past himself to enjoy the marriage he fights to achieve.

Acting was great esp. by Paul Gamatti and Rosamund Pike. Movie was OK. I expected more; it dragged on & on with drinking, cheating, etc. all in all I founded it somewhat depressing.

Loved this movie! Funny, moving and the pit of your stomach mistakes of true to life flawed human beings make this a should have been Oscar winner. Paul Giamatti, Dustin Hoffman, Scott Speedman and Minnie Driver all deliver award deserving performances true to the book and more. Kudos to Lantos's vision - don't miss this winner!

It was filled with happy times and many sad. I was on an emotional rollercoaster crying one minute and happy with joy the other. That to me is a recipe for a great movie and great actors. I just loved Paul and Dustins chemistry as father and son. They made the movie very believable. Though Minnie's role was short-lived, she was very good in it and I enjoy watching her on the screen. I like the way they went back in time to tell the story even though the movie was in th
