clint still has what it takes! a heart warming movie
first off - i have always loved clint! i thought this movie was really a nice story, father and daughter, issues, triunphs, laughs, i just loved it all! thank you again for picking my name - we really enjoyed this movie and who can't like clint, amy adams and of course... justin!
this is a well acted, well written film. clint eastwood, as is usually the case, is excellent in his role as an aging and surly baseball scout. amy adams is fantastic as his tough yet vulnerable daughter. both are very believable in their roles. there is some predictability in the plot but the performances from the leads and supporting cast more than make up for it. it is an engaging film and i found myself rooting for a happy ending for the troubled father/daughter relationship. the baseball bits, although not the star of the show, are also entertaining. finally, much of what i really enjoyed about the movie is tied to the end so to avoid spoiling it for you, i will only say that the
enjoyable movie with good acting by amy adams. clint eastwood played one of his typical "grumpy old man" roles. the different plot pieces were nicely tied together, even though the ending was a bit predictable.
enjoyed it..
it was a solid movie. it's not going to change your world, but it was an enjoyable way to spend two hours.
