Good Flick
Wonderful Movie. I really enjoyed it. It brought back some fond memories of living in NFLD as a kid, especially the kite making and flying. I remembered making my own kite, a great memory. Superb job.
Great movie
I think Roger Ebert was too generous in giving this movie two stars. This movie made Newfoundlanders look like a bunch of odd-balls who are trying to find themselves and never do.
I loved it. In the beginning it seemed a little bit weird but in the end I wanted to see it all over again. The actors fitted in their roles.
Besides the music...I din`t like the movie at all.
i enjoyed every momement ! brilliant music and scenery
This is the first film I have ever wanted to see again. I agree whole heartedly with this other (more literate than me) veiwer who said.............."In this blow `em up, shoot `em up, killing humans world of hollywood entertainment comes a gentle breeze of a film about real people just trying to get along in a remotely beautiful place. What a lovely film. AB"
I heard so many stories about how wonderful Kevin Spacey thought Newfoundlanders were. Too bad it wasn`t portrayed in the movie. It never fails.
There is so much more to Newfoundland than fishing villages and paint chipping of houses. I hope that anyone wathching this movie do not think all Newfoundlanders are that messed up. A very disappointing movie. Wasn`t worth the price of the ticket.
