Stiller does well as both the star and director, but his work is frequently outshone by the gorgeous cinematography as Walter Mitty travels the world. From the creative opening credits the interesting visual style draws you in, but like Walter Mitty the movie thrives most when it is travelling the world. Attempts at comedy that feel a bit cartoonish and over the top in the New York offices of Life feel more organic and natural when he ventures abroad. The slower pace of the second half feels out of step with the modern comedies that some will try and peg it as, but feels right out home for the thoughtful piece it grows into. Enjoyable.

I received a pass to this film from Tribute and, while I hadn't heard anything about it prior, I was certainly intrigued by the premise after I looked into it further. Having never read the short story by James Thurber, I came into the movie with a completely open mind and no preconceptions of what it should look or feel like. Off the bat, the visuals throughout were fantastic. Being that Walter Mitty constantly daydreams and imagines himself in a number of crazy events, the film is allowed to take things a little over the top. The transition between what Mitty pictures in his mind and the reality of his life is contrasted well and I found that as the film progressed, the lines between t
Lots of fin scenes, and Ben Stiller delivers some great comedy relief, comedy aside, the action sequences were great and really had me on the edge of my seat.
Found the scenery amazing!!! I rate this movie a 3 out of 5. The story line was good. Nice night out.

Fantastic movie
It was good but not fantastic.Moved kind of slow at first then got a little better.It was enough to keep us interested but we both like more action.
