I have never been a big fan of Ben Stiller, so I approached with some trepidation a movie both directed by and starring His Benness. That being said, from the very clever ideas for the opening credits, through the breathtaking scenery of Greenland and Iceland, the off-the wall fight scenes and the touching romantic moments, I found myself entertained, charmed and amused. Sure, some of the plot twists are a tad ridiculous, but this is a fantasy, an entertainment, and a movie about dreams and daydreams, and so a suspension of logic is necessary. It was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. An uplifting and inspirational movie. Beautiful cinematography throughout.
This movie was fun, but it seemed kind of random and it was difficult to tell what was real and what wasn't. Some (not all) of the jokes were funny. I don't think I would have seen this movie if I had to pay for it, but getting free screening tickets for it was nice. It was a movie I would personally wait until DVD realease.
This was a very heartfelt movie with a few laughs, lots of adventure and it brought a tear to my eye at the end.
