This unsettling movie will produce desrvedly great reviews for Will Smith and his son but I choked on the sickening plot that saw a man willing to sacrifice his family`s health and welfare to a gruelling, disheartening, saddening six-month non-paying indenturment scheme obviously designed to produce great profits with almost zero remunderation to the apprentices. (
-depressing movie up to the last few minutes - I go to the movies to get a `rush`, laugh, thrill, and the occasional tear/sadness - the latter emotion dominated the entire movie - would like to have enjoyed his life after success had been achieved! -great acting but poor storyline for me! 3 out of 5
Very inspiring movie. Will Smith was so great. And so was his son. It was sad, funny, and happy at the same time. I loved it. Totally Oscar worthy.
WAY TOO LONG!!!!
Outstanding! Very inspirational! The movie has further reinforced my own dreams and goals in life. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who has dreams and goals and is having doubt. This movie is a must see.
ok movie - not as good as I expected.
awsome! it made me cry
This movie had a beautiful story. It was somewhat slow in parts but the movie as a whole sent out a very touching message. I find that it was either a love it or hate it movie because of everyones different tastes in movies. I would definately reccomend seeing this if you enjoy very touching movies without much violence
Beautifully done. First movie I have felt like praying for the main character.
A bit slow, but overall very good
