My friend K and I enjoyed this movie a lot! The scene where Chris is asked to stay made us both cry....soo good :) N
Wonderful movie although not always factually accurate. In the movie, Gardner (Smith) works for Dean Witter Reynolds without any income for 6 months. In reality, Gardner was paid something. In the movie, he was not allowed to stay at a homeless shelter for women, but this was not the case: Rev. Williams did let him stay at the Glide Memorial United Methodist Church shelter for women. Details aside, an inspiring movie one cannot miss.
A very touching movie. Will Smith`s protrayal of a man down and out but with a ton of tenacity to pursue his dreams is truly inspirational! The love of father and son shows throughout the entire film and the ending can motivate anyone to fufill their inner most dreams!
i loved it
It was very good acting, little Smith excellent but on the whole the movie very depressing, would have liked to see a bit more of the success at the end of picture.
Good movie but way too much emphasis and too long on the negative side of his life and should have shown some later success to be more balanced. Great story but Poor Directorship and Production.
This was an excellent film. I really enjoyed the story. Will Smith deserves some critical acclaim for this role, because he played it with such heart and emotion. He connected to his character, and his character connected to the audience, making them understand the turmoil and pain he was going though in his life. Smith`s son, Jaden, was so adorable, and did a great job playing his on-screen son. This movie makes you want to look further into the story of Chris Gardner and even pursue your own dreams. Such a heart-felt film.
loved it!
Not a Will Smith fan but how do argue against several million teenage girls.
Best movie I have seen in a long time. Good story line, no hollywood additives!
