This movie is breathtakingly beautiful to watch and listen to. The stars were brilliantly cast and Gerard Butler makes a superb, smouldering and agonizingly romantic Phantom. I have seen it twice and will certainly see it again and again. I plan to buy the DVD of the movie and CD of the music. Bravo for a superb, romantic fantasy.

The best movie I have seen in a long time. All the characters are played to perfection. The "Phantom" is outstanding. The score is phantastic !

Magnificent! Gerard Butler is a fabulous Phantom and I cried my eyes out! Andrew Lloyd-Webber has had his dream for the film answered! I will go to see it again, and again!

I saw it at the pictures 3 times and would have gone more if I could have. Since seeing it I haven`t stopped playing the CD from the original stage version today I recieved the film version and the bit when Gerard lets Christine and Raoul go and sings about the `music of the night` being over made me start to cry as it did in the cinema. Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum were truely brilliant and I defy anyone to say any diferent they can not be compared to Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford because they will always be the "originals" but they should be given the credit for their performances which I felt were outstanding and constantly left

Breathtakingly wonderful, fabulous, incredible remake of the stage show. EXCELLENT movie, and the Phantom is simply GORGEOUS.

SPECTACULAR! Emmy Rossum is flawless, as is the entire cast, especially the leads captured my heart. It was so great to see the expressions on tbeir faces (not as easy to do onstage) and the opening scene with the chandelier was as breathtaking as it was onstage! KUDOS!

I enjoyed and loved this movie just as much as the opera itself. Although it is not a true Opera and it was a made for broadway and the London scene musical, the sets customes and off course the music was wonderful, I loved the effects and the chemistry between all the actors something we don`t actually always see on scene in the broadway version. I would suggest to anyone who`s seen it live, to actually pay to go see this one at the movies you`ll probably enjoy it just as much :)

I had never seen Phantom of the Opera, and this movie absolutely captivated my interest! I borrowed my friends` CD with the music, and the movie stayed strictly to the original score. Emmy Rossum looked gorgeous and Gerard Butler portrayed the Phantom, very, very well. Excellently done! (I`ve seen it twice already, haha!)
