It was truly a powerful movie I have ever seen.
Most powerful movie you will ever see! If it doesn`t move you, you must be dead!
a powerful epic....superb acting and a fantastic recreation of Christs last 12 hours.i highly reccomend this masterpiece to anyone who hasnt seen it
The film was very well done!
I myself am not a religous person, but this movie made me think. But aside from all of the questions did it happen or didn`t it, one thing is for sure, crucifixion happened. Thousands of men were tortured and nailed to a cross, while they`re mothers, wives, and children watched, and if you can`t or wont believe and be moved by Jesus then you should be moved for all of the others, crucifixtion did not begin or end with Jesus and that to me is horrific.
I can`t imagine why anyone would chose to NOT see this film. True, it is painful for many to view. But the power of this experience has the potential to deeply affect your life in the most meaningful way when you enter the theatre with even the slightest hope of that happening for you.
Visually amazing but soulless.
"It is the way it was". This movie is the best movie that i have ever seen. I basically cried from beginning to end, but when all said and done, this movie is just powerful. It`s a masterpiece. It should get Best Picture this year, but regretfully it won`t-we all know what gets through and what does not in Hollywood. But it hurts me so much whenever anyone throws dirt at it. Thanks Mel. Disturbingly graphic, but probably looked very similar to the actual event. I`m not sure calling it "good" would be appropriate. It was very close to the true story, so you can`t really say it`s bad, but watching a man you love die is not exactly a "hopping good time" either. Some things in it had a certain - je ne se quoi, but movie making effects can only go so far without actually killing a person. Artistic liberty, of course was used, but that is expected (eg. Jesus inventing modern "high" tables). And by the way, it wasn`t the Jews that crucified him, it was people that were Jewish, and not all of them were Jewish anyway. All and all, it
It was just okay for me. Too graphic, violent. I think it left a lot of the story out.
