A SCREEN GEM OF A FILM !!! Not many will agree though, but that`s okay. The New worlds Director - Terrance Malick, is a rare and truthfully out spoken visionary who say`s everything by the use of stricking visuals and exotic scores. Q`orianka Kilcher is a new leading actress to look out for. Her talent shines through, especially by the unique presence she has brought to the screen. This film is simply extraodirnary!!!
The scenery was beautiful in many many settings but the rest was a total bore. The sound dialogue was awful, couldn`t understand much of what was said. The picture, although had a story, it was too long.I was quite disappointed.
Stunning! It blew me away!
NO Action what so ever. The whole movie is about girl`s life. Not you average movie. Nothing good.
If you can go to an art gallery and meditate on a work of art for two hours then this is a movie for you. Subtle pacing combined with sensual visuals, hypnotic sound track and smouldering emotion. We see two civilizations as an hour glass with only love joining the two distinct ends and as the sand empties from one side to the other you will feel a loss. Milton would like this story, a paradise lost...
I love Pocohauntus and I LOVED this movie! It`s simply amazing and beautiful!.....Q`Orianka Kilcher was amazing and beautiful and Colin Farrell was great.....I just loved it!.....It defintely deserves some Oscars because it was very well done....It`s defintely worth 5/5.....I totally recommend this to everyone
After being teased for so long about this films eventual release, the wait was well worth it! This is a movie that you will either dislike or really enjoy and i was the later. It still haunts me with the stunning film work and the superb actress who`s name slips my mind but will be someone to watch out for in the future. Go with an open mind and see what true filmaking is all about!
not bad
A really well made, artistic film. Beautiful music and visuals. Both Leads were excellent. Historically very accurate, which was asurprise. The director resisted the temptation to pick sides and villainize the English or the "Naturals".Overall an excellent film for the late twenties and up crowd. I would warn, however, that most youths will not find this type of film stimulating, as it requires use of imagination etc. If taking the kids out, try Underworld XXIV or whatever.
I went to see the screening of this movie and it didn`t end soon enough. Although the landscape was beautiful the movie inself, simply, was horrible. It was, in my opinion, the worst movie I`ve ever seen!!
