liked it
good movie
Way too much lanuage in it, spoiled it for me.
Funny parts
As always Christian Bale takes my breath away with his performance. It absolutely amazes me in depth he can get with a character. Anyone who has encountered an addict can appreciate how well he played this role. Mark Wahlberg has never been one of my favorites, although very easy on the eyes his acting in the past has always left a very bad taste. He did this role justice. I was pleasantly impressed. Mind you after I put some thought into it I realised he really didn't have a lot of lines, but either way best I have ever seen from Mr.Wahlberg. Over all this was a very good movie. Anything I take the time to recommend to a friend I feel is very obviously a decent movie. Yes you may se
I really liked this movie. Christian Bale did a fantastic job in this movie. And anything Mark Wahlberg does is nothing short of amazing. It's a great movie based on true life events so it's a must see.
All year ive been waiting for a good movie! this is it and of course its at the end of the year. This movie was like a rollercoaster, it had its up and down, made you laugh and cry! Im on the acting side if things and all the actors were great, super dynamic and played their part to a T. The mother especially! and wow to the clothing, what a flash back to the early 90's. Best of all this is a true story about an amazing fighter that fought his own way to the top, aside from all that was going on around his life.
I don't understand why people are reluctant to go to this movie. I think it was the best of the 'holiday movies'. Great characters - great story.
Christian Bale and Melissa Leo are the key characters who carry this movie through. I feel that the movie should be called The fighter's brother. The struggle of Bale's character has more weighs than Wahlberg's triumphant in winning the title match. Leo playing a white-trashy mom delivers an Oscar-worthy performance. Overall it is a "B" for me.
