It was AMAZING~

Very close to the book, very good acting by Tom Hanks. This movie is more for people who like to think. I have heard alot of bad things about this movie, but I think those people did not see the movie. This movie gets automatic bad reviews just because it questions religion. I think that the movie was very well done. IT was never suppose to be an action movie.

While I`m sure it is not as good as the book (No movie ever is!), it is a good view! The theory that it presents is more interesting then the fictional story of the characters getting caught in the enigma and running around to solve the puzzles. Never the less, it`s worth the admition price. 4/5 stars

Okay, we all know that this movie is supposed to be fiction, unlike The Passion of Christ or Life of Brian, but if you want to see a good "what if" drama I would reccomend The Da Vinci Code. It`s been a couple of years since I read the book but Ron Howard did such a great job of capturing the essence of Dan Brown`s novel that during many scenes I felt as if he had pulled them from pictures in my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

It is most often difficult to translate a book such as Dan Brown`s into a screenplay that captures the salient features, develops the characters and keeps the audience "in the know". I read DVC twice and I learned 3 things from this movie;a) I`m seeing it again, b) I`m reading it again and c) I`m buying it when it is available. This is a masterpiece of weaving history, religion, faith and our ability to be open to reason and options. Nothing is definitively stated and much left to the intelligent mind. We were both so thrilled with this film that time flew. A++++ A word of caution...if you go to the movies to just be mindlessly entertain

i enjoyed it...i think that the violence could have been a little less.. but it is possible and lets you draw your own conclusions.

I found the movie to be quite entertaining and engaging not as bad as some critics said. I didn`t mind the shortcuts, but loved the occasional weaving of historical events into the story. Expectations were raised so high about this movie that it would have been impossible to meet them, especially since the book was absolutely engrossing. Loved seeing the various historical places, icons, etc. Seeing these places through different eyes this time, and would love to go again.

I did not read the book first so I have nothing to comparty the movie to other then the movie itself and it was not at all boring. In fact I enjoyed the movie very much and it has made me want to read the book.
