Definitely not as good as the book. While the book was a real "page turner" the movie did not keep you on the edge of your seat. On the contrary it was a tad slow at parts. Chemistry was lacking between the main characters. The sub-plot with the albino was vague. The historical fiction aspect and tie to imagery in art and architecture was weak. The ending is not true to the written version. The disappointment may stem from comparison to the book. Had the movie been viewed prior to reading the book, I may have enjoyed it more.

I liked the Da Vinci Code. I read the book and it wasn`t as great as the book, but we all know the books have more flavor in the writing, but the movie brought beautiful scenery and it told the story.

I thought the movie was just that fiction, we either believe or we don`t. The movie is a good translation of the book and takes the viewer to make up their own conclusions. I thought the director met the chellange.
