Take a box of tissues along. This is one of those worn out unlikely-team-pulls-off-a-last-second-miracle movies. Usually it's about football or baseball or basketball. Rowing is a refreshing difference. The water scenery is stunning. The acting is good. Callum Turner as Joe Rantz is a dream. Use of the piano song to motivate the sad, quiet guy was a nice touch. It could have used more of his music. Overall it's a good way to spend an afternoon.
Good acting well done! Enjoyed the story felt the pressure of the competition TRUE STORY.
I loved it
A feel good movie even tho we knew the outcome.
Good movie! Good acting! Good scenery! Good food! Good seat! Good bye! ;)
Good back story, good acting. I'm not a rowing fan, but it held my attention.
Plot line very predictable
An excellent movie!!!!
Loved this movie and loved the cast. They were all so good, it would be impossible to pick any one out to say they were amazing, because they all were. Love the scene where they have the shy guy play piano. I have a feeling he has an incredible back story, similar to that of Joe Rantz, not just because we see him in the first scene trying to get work, just like Joe.
Excellent portrayal of demanding and difficult team sport, requiring self-submission to the greater goal. Highly recommend the film; must now read the book.
