I'll just say this: If there's Anything 'Classic' about Hollywood, it's George Clooney. (No, not related!) He just KNOWS what makes a Great movie. Start with a Great Story....... We could Use more of THIS....more of Him.....in directionless, uninspired HollyWas. To the guy who thought this was a 'stupid movie' and 'phony'......I think you're prob. more of a Marvel/CGI -kinda guy. Right? Different, original and Well Made! I LOVED IT! TELLING ALL. Now wanna read the book!
I really enjoyed reading the book and was happy to see that it was adapted into a movie. Although the movie had to focus on only one of the team members, it was done exceptionally well. In fact, my wife and I were so impressed that we experienced a first-time occurrence - the audience applauded after the movie ended! 'Boys in the Boat' is an outstanding movie, and I would definitely recommend it. Bravo!
Fantastic job Mr Clooney, thank you. I wish we had more young people like that TODAY
Those on here that “dislike “ this amazing story….ask yourself WHAT have YOU accomplished in your petty little lives…??

Stupid movie. Hate these phoney movies.
Too Disney. I read the book a while back and the best part was the description of Joe's story before he got to university; this was barely touched on. Oh, well
Great movie, really enjoyed it.
Intellegent... Well directed (hats off to George Clooney). No phony curse words added, no peeing in a urinal, no added sex (because every movie has to degrade a film with it, whether it fits or not) no fake stagged dialog dribble... Just an incredible story, well told and beautifully filmed... What a breath of fresh air...
I knew the ending And I know what it takes to make an Olympic Team. Anyone who does not like the Olympics let alone appreciate the struggle to get there, is not someone who understands integrity of trying, courage to admit defeat and character to overcome adversity. This movie has it all. Fresh new talent to replace the usual suspects and not one "crash and burn" moment, which makes delicious visuals on the big screen but cannot sum up one moment of the kindness, strength of character and determination of the original Boys in the Boat. Hats off to George Clooney, who did not encourage one minute of overacting and captured the beauty of the sport of rowing and the unbelievable beauty of the journey these men took. Congrats to all associated with the film. You should be proud of the work you did.
