I have been a super-Superman fan since the onset of this genre. The world DOES need a Hero and Superman is the closest thing to that, that we can hope for. It may be fantasy but fantasy is where we are free to soar the heavens and sever the ties and burdens of the real world.

Couldnt wait until this movie ended. Basic plot - big rocks form, superman destroys rocks, makes new rock planet, rocks go away, show superkid, superman flies around for like 8 hours with that same theme song looping over and over again, the end. I just can`t figure out why everyone is liking this movie so much. Way way to boring. We all knew that Superman was going to live in the end, so they could have taken out like 4 of those near-death experience scenes. Out of all the "man" movies, Superman sucked the most. Totally unsuper movie.

Technology is so much more advanced that the visual experience surpasses anything produced in the 70`s and 80`s. Brandon did a superb job. I was easily drawn into Brandon`s portrayal after he cracked the picture frame. We never saw that complexity of emotion in the previous films. His angst in his personal life made Superman a m

The movie pays homage to the first two previous movies with Christopher Reeve. Well worth seeing again and again!!!
