i guess the problem with this movie is it`s one of those that u wither like or not i think it was agreat movie i loved it good job tarantieno never dissapointed me.
I think the problem most of the people have with this movie is that it is not an action movie. I thought it was a great movie, but then, I didn`t go in expecting the typical Jet Li movie. If these people did a little research about the movie before they went in they would have known that. If you`re looking for something unique and different then this movie is for you. I you want a movie where you pay for your ticket, get your popcorn and turn off your brain as soon as you sit down look elsewhere. It`s not your average caters to the common denominator Hollywood summer movie.
It`s not the complex aspects of the plot, the rich detailed scenary, or the portrayal of China`s diverse heritage that makes this movie a must see, it`s the beautifully choreographed battle scenes and the creative plot twists that make this an enjoyable movie to watch. i hugely reccommend it, especially if you are a fan of martial arts flicks.
This movie is positively sumptuous! It is like watching poetry come to life. Hero combines every kind of art we treasure, weaves it into magic and plays it out in a symphony of sound, color, movement and emotion.
It was just just awesome! The colours were staggering, the music was hauntingly beautiful, the women were gorgeous, the choreography faultless and the laws of physics were totally disregarded. Entertainment at its best! Bravo!
Saw this movie a year ago. I actually like its action better than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon becuase I think CTHD`s action is too fency and flowery, and I think Jet Li`s character shows speed, power and grace at the same time. But I don`t like its story, because it doesn`t tell the whole truth. The king in this movie is considered a pretty bad king in Chinese history and his dynasty falls soon after he dies. I think it might be a political propaganda film support by Chinese government, hahahaha.
An amazingly BEAUTIFUL masterpiece...I`ve never seen a movie tell its entire story through the use of just colours. The story is very intriguing...but my favorite still is the cinematography of the entire film...I`ll say it again...BEAUTIFUL COLORS!!!!!!
The director Zhan Yi Mou had no clue what he was doing in this movie. Bad plot, not worth seeing. Don`t like Zhang Zi Yi!
This is a martial arts movie in the same genre as Hidden Tiger, Crouching Dragon & I must admit that the fight scenes (of which there were many) became somewhat repetitious after a short time. What was unexpected and real pleasure to see was the exceedingly good sequences of movement, color and sound that did not actually involve many of the fight scenes. For example, the horde of priests (inmass) stomping up the steps of the palace; the colorful leaves falling during one of the fight scenes; the multitude of gray clad warriors with red plumed headgear. And there were others: simply stunning images that impressed me much more than the main th
Terrible unless you understand chineese. The whole movie was chineese talking with english writting underneath. NOT A WORD OF ENGLISH!!! BAD BAD MOVIE
