I just finished reading the book, I was in Italy on vacation when I was reading the "EAT" section so it was pretty surreal. I thought the movie was excellent and kept pretty true to the book. I was wondering how they were going to fit all the content in and think they did an admirable job. Julia Roberts was excellent in the part.
Enjoyed the movie, however never read the book and think that would have helped a lot.
While the movie posed a few thought provoking ideas, overall it was pretty empty and meaningless.
I like seeing the different cultures interpertation of the meaning of food. "Eat" Italy.."Love" France and Prey..Bali..and how it centers around life..friends..to make one feel wholesome.
A real take your gal friend kind of show. Must see
I found this movie very uplifting and revealing and paralleling the lives of many of us ladies. A real see it more than once show
Loved EAT, Pray was weak, Love I get... overall Julie does a good job with an okay story!.... That being said, it one of the better films in August.... & its NOT in 3-D!
A little tedious at times but generally ok. Definitely a chick flick. I can't imagine a guy sitting through this.
I've heard the book is good, i should have just bought the book instead of debating of walking out of the theaters. She literally Eats (In the first act), Prays (in the 2nd act) and finds Love (in the final act)...Clever.
What can I say Julia Roberts makes good movies - really liked the movie
