I have never read the book before, however I thought the movie was absolutely amazing! Especially when Elizabeth (played by Julia Roberts) was staying in Italia. I was very hungry, mmm pasta!! After watching the movie, I decided to pick up the book "Committed" by Elizabeth Gilbert (the sequence of Eat Pray Love) and I must say, so far its absolutely great!! Julia Roberts, in my opinion, played an amazing actress, worked perfectly for this film!! Great movie.

I was really excited about this movie after seeing previews. Julia Roberts is always in the best movies, but this was a big disappointment. I started falling asleep during India. I didn't get the point of it and it was really slow.

I had read the book and my best interpretation of the book was if you want a change in your life you have to "make" changes to your life, "take some risks". I really wanted to see the movie and hubby decided he wanted to go with me. I was all right with the movie. Glad I had read the book or I don't think I would have gotten much out of it. Julia was okay for me as Elizabeth, a little to happy though. Asked hubby what he thought. He said, "The movie didn't mean anything to him, was kind of a pointless, just another chick flick, and without reading the book the movie was pretty over-rated".

Too slow and boring. Needed some excitement. I won't recommend to my friends.
