this movie had a touch of everything that i look for in a romantic comedy/musical. it was fresh, had a good cast and it was well acted. christina aguilera takes singing to a whole new level her voice and acting was phenomenal and seeing cher on screen after soo many years was a nice experience.

I love the vocals...not a big musical fan but I really was entertained and enjoyed this flick.

Interesting movie but predictable plot and weak dialogue. Aguilera is a good actress with an amazing voice. Spectacular costumes and dance numbers.

Christina Aguilera showcases her brilliant talent in this movie about a girl who moves to the big city to find fame and stardom. A little predictable in some places and Cher's performance was a little disappointing but the other actors/actresses carried the story well. The plot was slow at times, and there were a few scenes that probably didn't need to be included, however overall a good movie.
