Beautiful scenery, very sad love story.
loved it cause ittold the story without preaching orteaching it showed both the healing and destructive power of love
I went to see this movie expecting to want to see it again and again. The best word I could use to describe it would be disappointing. I really wanted to like it, I was prepared to be blown away and to leave the theatre in absolute awe. Instead I left the theatre feeling very flat. The scenery was breathtaking, and the story was unique. But it was just pretty flat. I will say that I loved the characters, and I thought that Heath and Jake did a great job, and should be commended for taking on the roles of two guys exploring their sexuality.
It has a powerful message that I hope will foster tolerance but I found it to be a very slow moving movie and it didn`t live up to all the hype. Most movies these days don`t.
One of the greatest movies ever. We are lucky to live on 2005 and not on 1963. Ennis and Jack, we will never foget you.
it was ok but maybe would be better with less gay sex.
perfecit fantastic I`ve been really touch by this movie
It is a very emotional story. As the movie evolves, I begin to see the two men`s relationship simply as a relationship of two lovers who really want to be together, but struggles due to the cruelity of the society`s acceptance. Ang Lee puts the viewers right into the actor`s position. It is a beautiful story of love, humanity and struggle. The music also works very beautifully with the film.
best movie of 2005!
I gave this 4 stars. The acting was good - not great but good. They must have been very hard roles for these gorgeous straight actors. I was not as touched with the movie as others were - a lot of sniffling could be heard in the theatre towards the end. The ending itself could have been better - one was left with a feeling of needing more answers. I am glad I went to see this movie but would not go and see it again.
