Entertaining way to spend an afternoon.Some conscious raising in an action movie format.The movie will make you think twice before purchasing any diamonds.(I never got the fascination for them).Leonardo is quite good as is his co-star,who probably gave one of the most under-rated performances in a movie that few people ever saw (Amistead...rent it).

Blood Diamond is an incredibly moving story, delivered with powerful performances, it is disturbing and thought provoking. The scenery is amazing. Solomon Vandy is a humble man whose strength of character is delivered believably by Djimon Hounsou.
