Jeff Bridges - True Grit Interview
It’s been quite the year for Oscar winner Jeff Bridges. First he wins Best Actor for his role in Crazy Heart, then 28 years after he makes Tron, he gets to star in TRON: Legacy, and now he takes on the role that John Wayne made famous (and won an Oscar for) in True Grit. In this Coen Brothers-directed film, Jeff plays Marshall Rooster Cogburn, who is hired by a tough-talking 14-year-old girl determined to find her father’s killer.
Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer spoke with Jeff in Los Angeles about taking on such an iconic role, reuniting with his pals the Coen brothers and his impressions of his 14-year-old co-star, newcomer Hailee Steinfeld, who undoubtedly will become a huge star.
