MAD MAX IGNITES CANADA WITH WORLD'S FIRST DUSTY CAR WASH! CARS DROVE IN CLEAN AND LEFT AS DUSTY WORKS OF INCREDIBLE ART
TORONTO, CANADA, May 14, 2015 – Thousands of Torontonians were revving with excitement this week, as the world’s first Dusty Car Wash was installed in the heart of Toronto’s shopping district in support of the anticipated theatrical release of MAD MAX: FURY ROAD.
A portion of Toronto’s iconic Bloor Street was transformed into a post-apocalyptic stomping ground inclusive of shards of metal wreckage, pyrotechnics and blustering coloured smoke grandees. The Dusty Car Wash was at the centre of the chaos and offered fans exclusive pieces of washable art painted on their vehicles. Artists coated each automobile with dust upon entry and then created detailed works of jaw-dropping art inspired by the film. Upon exit, participants not only received a $200 pre-paid gas card as an added incentive by authentic FURY ROAD War Boys, their vehicles were also transformed into mobile billboards for people all around the city to see.
The epic, one-of-a-kind stunt was created by local agency, Lowe Roche Advertising with the support of a team of Hollywood set dressers and professional artists.
