The official teaser trailer for Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events begins as a man walks through a large film set and lights begin to power on. He says, "Hello, my name is Lemony Snicket and once again I find myself in a dimly lit room talking to a complete stranger. That complete stranger is you, and the room belongs to Netflix, a company responsible for filming A Series of Unfortunate Events."
The trailer continues as we get a closer look at Lemony, who carries on talking to the camera and informing us that the story of the Baudelaire orphans is "so upsetting" and "so utterly unnerving" that the crew filming it is suffering from low morale. Lemony warns us to look away before the "dire tale is even filmed," and the trailer ends as he walks back to where he entered and the lights of the set die down.
