Brie Larson describes her character Mason Weaver in Kong: Skull Island as an anti-war photographer who is willing to do whatever is necessary to get the shot. She says King Kong movies tap into our own human nature, because humans can be both dominant and powerful, but kind-hearted. Brie says she and the cast were literally forced together, as the remote location in rural Vietnam did not allow for any other forms of communication. Brie talks about how her character and the exotic film location influenced her on-set hobby: photography.
Kong: Skull Island opens in theaters and IMAX March 10, 2017.
