Director Josh Trank expresses his love for the Fantastic Four and calls them "realistic" superheroes. He calls the film a coming-of-age story and that each character is unique, particularly Dr. Doom. Josh even said that the actors were born to play these roles, especially Miles Teller, who plays Mr. Fantastic.
