The official trailer for Blade Runner 2049 opens on a futuristic Los Angeles lit up with neon signs and full of flying cars. We see Los Angeles Police Department officer, K (Ryan Gosling), walking through a building where replicants are birthed. We see the creator of these replicants (Jared Leto) explaining he can only create so many, as he wishes happy birthday to one just made. We then see K searching for the original Blade Runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), whom he soon finds hiding out in an abandoned building. Taking on Deckard’s former job, K has some tough questions for the aging cop, but he soon discovers a secret that will force him to fight through the streets of Los Angeles and against those who would try to stop him.
Blade Runner 2049 opens in theatres October 6, 2017.
