Very good drama, but not a movie to eat popcorn at. lots of quiet moments to listen to people eating
Excellent movie.
Cruise even resembled the von Stauffenberg. It was well within the reality. Great movie for all WWII buffs. It felt more like a documentary than a movie.
Need more of these stories.
Not sure of Cruise in the title role, however, he does the job better than I thought he would. Perhaps it is because he is typecast in some way, and this is a stretch from what is his normal repertoire, and also the German reaction to his "religious beliefs" which are in stark opposition to the devoted Catholic views and beliefs of von Stauffenberg and his family. In any case the British cast did a great job as did the Germans. The script was good, and the telling of the story to a popular audience in the English world is long overdue. Perhaps a studio and director can make an English film of Sophie Scholl and the White Rose student resistance movement that stood up to Nazism and paid th
