The fact that this wasn't an "Adam Sandler movie" was a big plus for me. It was way better than I expected. Yes, it was intense. Engrossing from start to finish. You could not look away. That was the milieu it was meant to portray! You don't like movies about amoral scammers and gangsters, then don't see this one. Being Jewish myself, I did find it to be the most anti-Semitic movie since Mel Gibson's Jesus movie (which I refused to see, but read about). Sort of like a Jewish version of a black exploitation movie -- but to those in the know, accurate in the respects it chose to.portray.
Very disturbing is so many ways. It wasn't the language, it was the content. If you could call it content.
We typically enjoy any movie with Adam Sandler but this was a complete disappointment. Poorly written and directed filled with foul language and scenes that at times just did not make sense. Longest 2 hours and 15 minutes we have ever spent watching a movie.
Uninteresting, foul language, constant screaming all around bad movie !
Tried to give another go...albeit last time if this movie is bad...with Adam Sandler movies.... Thumbs down, and it wasn't just the nasty language...The movie, itself, was uninteresting!!
Yelling constantly....awful language..... Adam Sandler did a great job in this role...but the movie sucked.
Fast paced and exciting. Thoroughly enjoyed.
The worst movie I’ve seen in years
too much cursing and confussion
Boohoo! There's curse words! Stop the presses! Welcome to the 21st century, its time to grow up. This film is incredible, a non-stop rollercoaster from the moment it starts. Sandler shows off his chops in this one. If you're averse to vulgarity stick with Sesame Street.
