An excellent old fashion western.
Hailee Stienfeld was truly believable character loved her True Grit in the film. Matt Damon was halarious. Jeff Bridges was a riot as Rooster Cockburn
One of the best remakes of a film I've seen in years. That said the movie was not much different from the original. I liked it.
Fantastic movie...another Coen's finest!
Jeff Bridges was great, James Brolin not so much. Hailee Steinfeld is an amazing newcomer
WOW I hated this movie!! Practically everyone had a speech impediment or a very irritating speech pattern. It was s l o w and you felt no kinship towards the main characters. I was hoping they would both die. BTW if seeing animals being abused bothers you, just one more reason not to see this film. What a waste of precious time and money.
I don't get why people say the original was better. THIS IS the original, it was based from the book. Do you people read books? Anyway, I digress. The acting was great as well as the script, when people comment that the movie was slow, I guess they expected this to be a blow em up a minute Michael Bay movies since they have very short attention spans with limited IQ. This movie was more about character study on perseverance and honour and loyalty but I guess the whiners that gave it bad reviews missed that.
While very different than what I expected, i still thought the movies was very, very well done. Great performances and a smart script.
My husband and I both thought this was an amazing movie. Obviously there is a lot of old english in this movie...it is a Western movie. We truly enjoyed it.
must see movie
