john wayne would of been proud!!!
Basically the same as the original. but more gritty and updated. Thoroughly enjoyable even for non-western fans. Some great dialogue.
True Grit one of the best westerns i've seen since 2007's 3:10 to Yuma.
I love westerns but this one was very disappointing. Slow-moving. At one point my eyes started closing. The trailer had me thoroughly fooled. Noticed when the girl exited the river with her horse, she was completely dry. Acting by all was good. But overall I thought it was a waste of time.
"It was full of action and overall just an enjoyment to watch.
loved the fact it was between deadwood, ( really grungy)and the old dusters where after 2 months in the bush , they were still clean. The young girl was awesome , the ending a little shlockey too me , but all in all , an excellent film..
The remake was very well done. Jeff Bridges played Rooster Cogburn perfectly. Matt Damon was a bit weak but it was still a great movie.
This movie was not what I expected, but was pleased with the difference.
Enjoyed the movie very much, but you still can't bet John Wayne in the main part.
Great movie, Jeff Bridges is as tough as the Duke was in the original.
