whether or not this remake of a 1969 movie was needed or not,it is a good one.This one adheres most closely to the book by Charles Portis.there is lots of choice dialogue especially delivered by Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld(who is a real find as Matty Ross).Bridges,in particular is a real hoot-the Dude abides in his channeling of the Duke.

True Grit was a beautifully constructed film. Jeff Bridges is hilarous and believable as a filthy but dedicated law enforcer. It wasn't your typical Coen brothers quirky film, but incredible anyways. The colour also reminded me a bit of O Brother Where Art Though.
