Absolutely awesome. Great sets, great acting... Brad Pitt and Eric Bana did excellent jobs as the leading men in the film.

do not listen to anyone who is saying that this movie sucked, it was amazing!!! brad pitts acting was not bad, he was playing the role of achilles perfectly. thats the actual achilles`s character, if you dont like it, dont blame brad pitt, he played the role very well. and about the fact that the war actually lasted over 10 years, thats true, but what could the directors do? to make the movie entertaining and keep us engrossed into it he had to make the war seem shorter. if he made the war seem like 10 years, the movie would be 10 hours long then!!!

Troy is a steaming pile of crap-ola!! The only ray of light in this monstrocity of a film, is the performance of Eric Banna... even though he was dealing with a poorly written script and and even poorer acting "talent" of Pitt. If this the best that hollywood can create, then I weep for every classic masterpiece that it attempts to grind into a billion dollar making monster.

It cracks me up that people refer to the Illiad as `history`! C`mon! The Illiad was a great story, based on a few facts... the main known fact being that, Troy burned to the groung in a big battle. Most of the characters in the Illiad were either ficticious (made up for romance or heroism), or historical characters BUT with no evidence that they actually did any of the things Homer describes! Do your homework, people! And, if they`d wanted to make a movie of the Illiad, don`t you think they would have called the movie "The Illiad"? Puleeze!

troy was a very good movie. it was disgraceful at times, but overall, it was good. i didnt like orlando bloom at all in this film and brad pitt is of course the reason y it`s a great movie. there r people who are writing that they are disappointed because the war didn`t last ten years like it`s suppose to, but the filmakers don`t exactly have ten years do they? honestly, use your brains. this is a good movie. that`s that.
