eastwood has hit it out of the park once again with his performance in trouble with the curve. his performance was spot on as an aging baseball scout and as a father that has not earned father of the year. amy adams, playing his daughter, justin timberlake playing a former client and john goodman as a colleague and friend round out a cast that play their parts perfectly. i thought eastwood would never top his role in gran torino but with this movie he has hit a home run.

the movie was a little predictable, you could figure out the plot pretty easily. the added romance between justin timberlake and amy adams' characters were somewhat embarrassing to watch. the movie would've been okay even without that subplot. however, the movie overall wasn't too bad to watch.

the movie was full of terrible cliches. clint eastwood just seemed tired, along with amy adams. not my favourite movie, but not the worst thing i have ever seen.

i wouldn't say i'm a big clint eastwood fan, but i did enjoy the dirty harry franchise, as well as some of his films done in more recent years like million dollar baby and gran torino. gran torino is one of my favourite movies - pure genius. before this film, i was expecting something in the same vein as million dollar baby. i was pleasantly surprised by the amount of humour in the film. i wasn't expecting that. it was also refreshing to see some actors "out of their comfort zone" (not doing the types of characters they're known for) and doing bigger and/or riskier parts. the characters and character development was also strong point in this film. one thing that i'm surprised the
