I went into this having read the reviews so I was prepared for something bad. I ended up being pleasantly surprised! I thought this was a really great movie! I would definately go see it again.

Not what I expected, its a very thought provoking movie. There are many holes in the plot but overall its a very enjoyable movie.

Well!... very different than what I was expecting, but nonetheless one of Night`s best! 6th Sense was truly scary, Unbreakable... haven`t seen it... Signs scared the crap outta me (except for the CGI alien... boo CGI) and was such a moving story... now The Village tones down the scariness and focuses on human nature, more specifically, what fear can do to people. It still had its scary moments and I did skooch down in my seat a few times, but I ended up getting so lost in the story itself that when the credits began to roll I found myself saying, "Wow, what a story!" Night has a brilliant mind to create such stories, and his style of d

Another briliant M. Night Shyamalan film. This is the most intelligent movie of summer and i can defently see some oscars in the mix. For anyone bashing this movie, take a second and think, has M. Night Shyamalan ever made a horror film....the answer is no...he makes thrillers with twists and turns all the way through. Can`t wait for this to come out on DVD so i can add it to my collection.

I loved The Sixth Sense and Signs so I had high expectations with this one. But I was sorely disappointed. I HATED the ending. Friends of mine actually guessed the ending and when they were right, actually walked out of the theatre. There was no CLIMAX. No big, OH MY GOD! It slowly lead up to it then a very short decline.... then THE END. I was left thinking I was cheated out of this movie. Like he didn`t really know how he wanted it to end, he was just having fun for the first 1 1/2 hours then when ending time came, he didn`t know what to do. It was very sloppy.

The Village was the best film of the year. It keeps you at the edge of your seat through the entire movie. When it ended I wanted to see it again. Joaquin Phoenix, Adrien Brody and Bryce Dallas Howard were all perfect for their parts. I really enjoyed it.

For all thoese who have always wanted more than just a cheap scare, this one is for you. I LOVED it, even as others in the theater were making fun, it has a very poingant under tone that if your subtle enough you get, and that is was makes movies great. GO AND SEE but Really See for what its supposed to be about ie: the attempt to return to innocence.

The Village is a movie not for a simple-minded person. This movie leaves you thinking - what if? People expecting to go see a typical "scary, gory movie" are not going to like it. I did, and the ending did blow me away, eventhough it was another M. Night Shamalyan signature ending.

This movie was awful. I saw it wit some family members, about 11, and one liked it. The rest of us hated it, Totally misleading. If ur lookin for a love movie, this is it, but if ur goin 2 see a horror, like i was, DONT CHOOSE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!
