Although I found the movie extremely hard to watch, I believe that we really needed to see all the beating scenes to really understand what a horrible and sad story this really was. It really made me realize just how much Jesus endured for sinners. The story was not as much trying to focus on how Jesus was killed, but how he chose to die as a sacrifice for us. He didn`t need to endure this pain, but he did... for us.

No plot. If I didn`t know the story, I would not have learned it from the film. Could have been so much more.

I was very moved, as was everyone with me. It is especially moving to someone who is knowledgible of the strory of Christ. Thank you Mr Gibson.

Stop the HYPE: You complain about blood, guts and gore and how can anyone go through such abuse and no human race can be that abusive. Here are some for you: 1. Columbine High School 2. Oklahoma Bombing 3. Twin towers 4. Pentagon Explosion Children shooting children, Snipers shooting innocent people for sport, people killing people by the masses for domination. All of that was because of sin and dominence. What Jesus suffered was to save us from our sins because we were not able to save ourselves. "Know the truth and the truth will make you free." 1 John 4:2,3,10,11 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses th

After reading many of the comments posted by everyone I can only say this: "The carnal mind can not understand the spiritual things of God." We see this many times in those posted comments. The Passion is not a movie to enter into like going to see The Lord of the Rings or Spiderman or 007. YOu must enter in with a clear and open mind, not one filled with animosities, judgemental attitudes and just plain full of "viper venom" towards others because you saw something you did not comprehend nor could you because of your carnality. The movie was done with great talent, love, endurance, criticism, pain and suffering for something greater tha

I found the movie to be one of the most humbling experiences I have ever had. It made me look within myself to see how helpless I am to save myself and how unworthy I am to have my savior endure this humiliation, degradation, rejection and human abuse because HE loved me. Like it or not, we humans are ALL his creation and HE is worthy of all our praise. All opinions are empty upon the final day of the LORD when we will stand accountable for our sin, abuse, ignorance, judgements, greed and intolerance of one another for material gain. Bottom line, think what you may, say what you may, judge as you may, write as you may but the statistics

Incredible film. people need to stop and take a moment, and reflect on one very important issue. This is a film.. it is not a historical text... but it is one damn fine film.. kudos to Mel Gibson for a stunning film that is absolutely painful to watch.
