I didn`t like this movie either. It was done well, just not my kind of movie. I liked `The Jacket better`. To be honest I was too freaked out to watch the entire movie. When he started walking with the little boy I didn`t want to know what happened so I turned it off.
one real good movie....people who are skeptic about todays generation of filmmakers....eat your words......posh movie...
Riveting!
i really didnt like this movie... it was really bad and strange
Excellent screenplay, superlative acting and wonderful cinematography. The story clearly sets the stage for the very appropriate and powerful conclusion. A must see for fans of pyschological thrillers.
Great movie!! I love it. It`s not a scary movie, it`s a sad story. Don`t see it in the theater, rent the DVD and watch it at home, use your feeling, u will be touched. Christian Bale is great!!!!!
Well directed, well written and what a performance by Bale. To create the dark dramatic undertones associated with his character, Christian Bale set a Hollywood record by dropping an unprecedented 63lbs. for a anemic total weight of 130lbs. to fit into the role. THIS WAS NOT REQUIRED. As a matter of fact, Bale personally had wanted to reach 115lbs. before producers intervened for his own safety! I won`t bore you with a regurgitated synopsis of the film, you can find that yourself, but if you think about Memento meets Fightclub meets Thinner you just might have the perfect description for The Machinist.
Christian Bale is an amazing Actor and he proves it so by losing 63 pounds to play this role. I wont say much about the movie because it would give away too much. However I will say this is not a movie to be missed!
