Can't wait to see this movie. I do not know much about Queen Elizabeth's father.

I love British movies though I never thought I would have sympathy for royalty but Colin Firth does a splendid job of portraying King George VI. Geoffrey Rush plays a commoner with a noble spirit who helps George VI with his speech impediment that I was not aware of. Very informative and a feel good movie about overcoming personal challenges. Thank you.

This is The movie of the year as far as the story and acting are concerned. I cried as the future king and his supportive wife went through the hell of therapy with their wonderful therapist.Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush are consumate actors and they both shine in this film. I wanted to applaud with the others when the king finally gave his pivotal speech. Fantastic film and I hope everyone goes to see it. Totally recommended.
