I saw The Journey on 4/3/23. The whole show felt very contrived and inauthentic. Bocelli has an amazing voice, as did most of the singers who joined him. But it was quite clear what I heard was totally done in studio. I missed hearing about the trip itself, the locations they passed, the history, etc. My wife liked it. I did not.
Seen at “Madison CT Fine Art Theater” 4-2-23. First, the 30-minute Fathom promo-film at the start bombarded the captive audience with repetitive, obnoxious ads. The audience started booing trying to get the theater manager to stop the ad bombardment to no avail. Secondly, the Journey is a new-age Christian financed, proselytizing, propaganda film of off-key songs sung by obscure singers other than Bocelli in forgettable settings. We walked out after 20 minutes disgusted. Just Awful. Be forewarned.
Beautiful, inspirational and done well.. We were able to see a Andrea Bocelli concert in February 2023, where they showed a preview of this movie. We were hoping to view it locally and you provided that opportunity, thank you for hosting.
Beautiful movie! Inspirational. Loved the music, people, italian landscapes, historic buildings, and the horses. ??. Make sure you stay until after the credits! There is a special behind the scenes segment.
Beautiful music, beautiful scenery, beautiful people. Very inspirational! Want to see again.
