I enjoyed this movie. Although it was hard to see how Afro-Americans were treated back then in the South and yet they were the ones cooking the whites' food, raising their children all day and barely had time for their own. It was good to see not everyone back then was like that and someone could see the injustice of their treatment and wanted everyone to read about it.
Great movie and better book. Have to love period pieces.
Awesome!
An excellent movie that is informative as well.
The movie was amazing and inspirational! the cast was great, they all played roles so well!
THE MOVIE WAS A GREAT PORTRAIT OF THE AMERICAN SOUTH. THE CHARACTERS WERE WONDERFUL AND ACTING WAS GREAT. YOUR EMOTIONS WERE TAKEN TO ALL LEVELS.
Pretty close to the book, I enjoyed both.
Excellent movie profiling some difficult times and how badly black people were treated.
This was an amazing adaptation of the book; of course, things were left out, but I found it extremely well acted and heartwarming. I have even implemented some of the tips from the help - like holding a match in my teeth while peeling onions to keep my eyes from tearing up... it works!
Not as good as the book
