The only good things about this movie were the deamons and Nicole Kidman. the choices to change the original stoyline around didn't make any sense as they didn't enhance the understanding of the plot, it actually made it harder to follow. But also, they left out some of the most interesting aspects of the original story. I understand that it is hard to format books into movies, but this was really a poor job of it.

it was good until they pictured Russian army as a force of darkness. could not stop laughing ... those commands from in Russian was dumb idea ... as stupid as "Red Dawn". Witches fighting Russians....

This is good alround movie. My wife and I are both looking forward to the sequels. Take the kids they will love it. Much like the Narnia gendre type of movie.

It was a fairly good movie all-around.

The worst movie of the year. Don't waste your money. The movie was choppy. Didn't bother to explain anything. Only concerned with setting up for a sequel. But who would want to see it since this one suck so bad?

Somewhat of a disappointment though the movie was well-casted. I would still however be willing to watch the next installment.

I find it most interesting that a man who claims to be an athiest has so much high level occult knowledge weaved into the story line. The occult geometry in the set design is so intricate showing that this was no mere idiot throwing it together by chance.

A BIG disappointment... I expected so much from this film, and was let down big time. There were a couple of well-executed scenes with strong dialoges, and character but most of it was too complicated to follow.
