loved this movie as much as the Swedish version. great job by all the actors.
There are great moments in this film and more production value than the Swedish version. The lovely sepia colours in the re-enactments are beautiful. The violence and terror are still there and I loved it.
Loved the actors, loved the show. Saw it twice still enjoy it both times. No bull as is was. great.
It was good but I liked the Swedish version better!
I thought this was as good, if not even better than the original Swedish version, which I also enjoyed. I don"t speak a word of Swedish so I'm glad they made this in English it was nice to be able to just pay attention to the story without having to read subtitles too. I thought Daniel Craig was perfect for this role, and Christopher Plummer was excellent, in fact it was cast perfectly in my opinion! I'm skeptical of re-makes too but this one is one of those rare moments where I thought the re-make did the original justice.
Not much into the book at all, but the story is interesting, quite a mix of intertwined lives under stress of various characters and unusual moments. Pace initially slow, but picked up later, and seemed to go a bit too fast in a brief sense near the ending. However, worth the see, even in the theatre, and I enjoyed the suspenseful puzzles within the plot. The violent moments can be disturbing. The girl is quite adept... a survivor.
An intense heart pounding film. Certain scenes were so well done that it was almost too much to watch.
Much better than the Swedish version. Adhered to the book more and showed the personal relationships which I think are instrumental. Great soundtrack and intros..
Great movie, even better than the Swedish version. It was much more faithful to the book.
Dark, complex, graphic, well cast and well acted. Every bit as good as the Swedish original film. As close to the book as can be expected. Not a movie for the attention challenged or special effects addicts. Cann't wait to see the next two sequils.
