The movie was much deeper than a mere movie. The Biblical and Spiritual symbolism was mind-blowing and if you didn't get it, you need to watch it as many times as it takes for you to understand the movie.

Wow. I really expected better. Riding the future of mankind (the plot) on the importance of the Bible is pretty weak. Oh just to let you know GWH I believe the guy your referring to is a skeptic not a cynic. There is a difference.

I expected more from these actors. There were some amusing parts but not enough to sit through a story that trite.

Waste of time and cost of admission. If you are a "believer",and don't use your brain ,you may find this film entertaining.A shame that acting talent was wasted in this film.If there is a Hell,I think that I sat through about 90 minutes of it!!

ZZZ...

Simple. Thoughtful. Nice little twist. A pleasant surprise considering the over saturation of post-apocalyptic films from 2009, this one held its own

The concept and the follow through of this movie was terrible. The concept wasnt played out well at all, and as much as I like Gary oldman this DEFINETLY wasnt his best role by far. You get past wicked fight scenes (and the hilarious old people) there was no consistent flow to the movie.

Not your typical action movie and there is an actual plot in this one. One telling line is when Eli says that before the war people threw out what they kill for now. A thought provoking look at the world post apocalypse.

A really good movie of the apocalypse variety. Makes you think when it's said in the movie that before the war people through away what we kill over now. The religious element did not make me uncomfortable and at the end the bible is placed next to the Koran.
