Although deliberate in pace,Control director Anton Corbijn's film is compelling and intriguing.George Clooney(as"Jack")provides a subtle minimalist performance. There are lovely ladies(Thekla Reuten,Violante Placido)) and the beauty of the Italian countryside with its picturesque villages almost beckon me to fly there now.Clooney as "the hitman in winter" finds himself at a crossroads while searching for redemption. This reminds me of another great existentialist movie:The Passenger(1975) with Jack Nicholson. The American unfolds gracefully in such a way that we get to know the Jack character in considerable depth including his expertise as an arms builder and his fondness for exotic butterfli
Slow, boring definately a not to buy. Think George needs to go back to his ER roots.
This is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life!!!! I love movies, but if this was the only movie playing for the rest of eternity I wouldn't be desperate enough to go see it. I wish I could take back the first time!!! Not even worth a rental. Unless you can't fall asleep, then this movie might come in handy....it's a real snoozer. seriously!
Great suspense thriller with a good ending. Clooney is amazing and worth watching. Loved it.
one bad movie. i wouldnt even rent it, thats how bad it is.
Not great, but not terrible either. Just kind of slow and alot of scenes with Clooney's character staring into the distance.
Too bad the rating doesnt have a Zero score...thats what this movie is worth. Big Bomb!
This was a VERY disappointing movie. It is extremely SLOW and George Clooney's performance is poor. It's not even worth renting. My husband and I felt like we had been robbed of $22.00 as we left the theatre!
His worst movie, and he produced it wow thought u got more then that
Finally, a movie for people who don't need every detail explained to them multiple times to be understood. The minimalist dialog and the 1970's pacing let's one enjoy what they're watching instead of being pummeled with quick cutting and a loud soundtrack because the story was too poorly written to be interesting.
