Why the World needs Superman. Superman Returns brings to the big screen the beauty of innocence and virtue, not seen since Superman the Movie or Superman 2. The last 20 years of movies have not captured for me the feeling I got from watching Christopher Reeve do the impossible, by flying through space or deflecting bullets, until now. Brandon Routh, a relatively unknown actor, plays both a convincing Clark Kent and a believable Superman. Some people will attempt to relate Routh to Reeve in terms of looks, however, in truth, both are living up to the Superman image. Kate Bosworth, my only real trepidation coming into this film d

I totally enjoyed the movie. You have re-invented the Superman legend. Brandon Routh did a fantastic job as Clark Kent/Superman. Lex Luthor was as he should be, evil incarnate. The introduction of Lois Lane`s son was an inspiration. Gives Superman some very "human" qualities, brings him "down to earth". Hopefully the Superman sequels will do justice to the legend. Superman is back and all is well with the world again. Hopefully we see more of the Man of Steel and he will always remain the ultimate superhero.

Amazing movie, carries over the essence of the first two movies (forgetting the horrible 3rd and 4th). Brandon Routh plays a believable Clark Kent and a great Superman. Originally, I thought Kate Bosworth would be somewhat young for the Lois Lane part, but she pulls it off well. FIVE stars...

Excellent continuation of where the original three movies starring Christopher Reeve left off. A must see for any Superman fan. It is a shame that Christopher Reeve was not still around to see the movie, I was a little disappointed that there was no memoriam to him anywhere in the credits.

It is the best movie I have seen in years! I can`t wait to see the sequel of Superman Returns.

Too sappy. Too long. Lois and Kal-el deserve each other and get the whole damn train wreck over with. Nothing new to see here. Although Brandon Routh was a good looking Superman. But the super stalker scenes were creepy. Poor James Marsden - relegated to 2nd good boy fiddle again. Brian Singer you suk.

Was pretty good but for the amount of money they spent on it, I would have expected better acting. We went to see it at the drive in with Poseidon. Poseidon was a way better movie.
