The cliche' "nostalgia" at it's best, and it's true really. So much love went into this one, and brings us back to the simpler hearfelt stories that we grew up with like 'E.T.' and 'The Goonies' and even hints of 'Jurassic Park'. One not to be missed and maybe even a one to watch with the family with kids over 13 years old of course.
An interesting movie...starts off good, but never seems to really pick up. It was more less a hopeless attempt at making a remake of E.T with a twist, JJ really let me down with this movie and wasnt whar was expected from it, the lack of story and good acting made the movie fail in my eyes. The small amount of comedy in the movie really kept me awake but realisticly the best part of the movie was the last 10 minutes when things finially start to become interesting, for the amount of time I had to sit there, JJ didn't do much with it...
It was a great movie with a great story. I would have liked it to be a little more magical. Reminded me of the goonies.
A different, original film in a summer of remakes and sequels. The movie unravels a bit on the end, but an entertaining summer flick nonetheless.
Started off great, but slowed down and almost lost my attention halfway through.
