Palpatin again trying to take over the universe. Han Solo scene was unique. The final battle was amazing.
No idea who said about a Ja Jar in the movie? Lol Nope. Please watch the movie first rather to give fake reviews. Ben was this time fantastic.
Great finally. I loved the ending too.
FANTASTIC. Star Wars is back! The mystique that WAS Star Wars (when Lucas was at the helm) is (finally) back. Interested in the movie but hindered by somewhat anemic ratings (of some)? Don't be hindered. Turn off the rubbish criticisms generated by entertainment spoiled brat Americans who have indulged themselves into numbness and cannot therefore recognize a good (in this case 'great') movie when it hits them right in the face. The Star Wars magic that captivated generations was most certainly NOT back for the last couple of movies (though they were certainly NOT 'horrible' - as some have asserted). Rogue One, by the way, was a very good movie, though it didn't have the Star Wars mystique. Wondering about what I mean by 'Star Wars Mystique'? If you were around for the original movies 'durning the day' you know exactly what I'm talking about. What a feeling! lifted me right out of the hum drum of life and took me on a vicarious adventure that was simply thrilling! Here's my review Story - 10 - great intrigue, surprising twists and 'answers' to some questions that left me wondering after the last few movies. Cinametography - 10 if I could give it an 11, I would. Stunning. Amazing (even by todays standards) Acting (in general) - 10 Because it was so wonderful I loathe to criticize AT ALL. But if I had to, I would say that the 'Rose' character could, and perhaps should have been deleted. Weak and largely non contributory. Making "Fin" SPOILER? pretty ridiculous. Granted, its just fiction but still .... Yet, in spite of those two very minor weaknesses, I believe that the movie was just awesome. 'Surprise characters'? Well, I won't spoil it for you (if you haven't seen it) BUT I will say I was totally delighted by their presence. Friends, this was not a 'good' movie, it was a GREAT one. Do yourself a favor, forget entirely what the nay sayers are saying. Go, let yo
Kathleen Kennedy and Jar Jar Abrams turned something great into total garbage
All i can say is I wish George could of done this movie. Yes the effects today are better but the story isn't. Fairwell to the skywalkers
I knew I would regret spending money on this. I hate this movie almost as much as I hate myself for wasting money on it.
Grew up on the prequels and love them unironically. All of the sequels suffer from this issue a little, but TRoS is way more serious than it needs to be. Straying from the traditional over the top space opera format of the originals, and the glitzy sci-fi fantasy political drama the prequels unashamedly evolved into, TRoS finds itself in 'Real Serious Gritty Sci-fi Movie TM' butt into the 9th installment of a franchise that is now constantly second guessing itself and isn't a natural evolution, but is instead a hyper sterilized multi artist mutation of Star Wars. In spite of this, I had an absolute blast. I'm not going to say this movie has no contrivances, but it strikes a balance between constantly being blasted with set pieces or story beats, and long, droning Senate meetings. It's fast but not completely incoherent, quiet but not boring, thrilling but not horrifying, and an absolutely spectacular spectacle of lightsabers, a galaxy far, far away, and drama (albeit sterilized, yes). Admittedly, I went in wanting to have fun. I wanted to like this movie and have a good time. TRoS didn't disappoint me.
Movie dragged (one in our group actually snoozed off twice) and very predictable way they tied up all the loose ends of the whole damn series. This one can be watched on a tv at home.
Just an amazing film.
