This is Star Trek for 12 to 14 year old boys. Bad script; bad acting; routine special effects == waste of money. This could have hurt the Star Trek franchise if it was a better movie. As it is, it will be soon forgotten

Wow - as a huge Trek fan I had high hopes for this movie, and JJ Abrams did not disappoint. He was able to keep what makes Star Trek "Star Trek" while making it modern, unique, and something both Trek and non-Trek fans could follow and love. The actor's were great, and I'm hoping another movie with this cast is on the way!

It is the first time I watched Star Trek, and I am not really impressed by the story. I have to admit that starship battles were really attractive, but for me I feel there just isnt enough actions in the movie. 3 stars max!

Astounding!!!! Even my husband who hates Sci-Fi movies found this movie utterly thrilling! A definite must see again.
