Meh...good enough but weak!!!
Excellent movie?? Are you serious?? Six people sitting around a table reading and discussing files?? That is hardly Oscar worthy - and the other four people in the theatre would agree with me! This film has very little action - other than continuous scenes in meetings - and virtually no character development. Other films have treated this very sensitive subject much more effectively.
Very revealing movie ! It is no wonder that young people, who have not been thoroughly brain washed, are leaving the Catholic church in droves. Older Catholics will still turn a blind eye and pretend that this stuff didn't exist.
An important story that must be told in hopes that it impacts change. Restores your faith in responsible journalism. A very well acted film with a terrific cast.
Excellent acting by all.
Great entertainment! Solid performances by all! Pop some corn, sit back, and enjoy!
Our family really enjoyed this one.
This was the best movie I have seen this season. Acting was stellar, script was excellent and direction was flawless. A difficult topic to be sure, but a story that needed to be told and needs to be remembered by future generations. 5 stars, easy.
Obvious Oscar bait with the subject matter. A worthy story but trying too hard to be a serious issue drama that nobody can criticize (much like The Danish Girl). The acting was nothing outstanding or particularly challenging. Everybody was fine but very little range of emotion displayed. Important story to tell but not exactly a fun night out at the movies.
Fantastic - an attention grabber and holds one's focus and attention with great acting and a brilliant structure.
